I drew a poster for them for a FSN gig, at it’s second location. I managed to see them more than a few times, they were a great band.

I always found it great that when I first met Larry and Randy years earlier in ‘84 before a U2 concert - freezing our asses off at the backstage door of the now demolished Omni in Atlanta, waiting to get in free. During that time we all were huddling around in a circle talking, and Bono steps out of a limo, walks over and introduces himself. Stanley and Lynn were there, Stanley had him sign an autograph.
Stanley: Can we have your autograph?
Bono: Yes, who do I make it to?
Stanley: The Squirrels.
Later we look at the signature and it reads: To Squirrel - Bono.
while still excited, we were slightly annoyed that he left off the “The”.
Which makes me wonder if it is White Bikes, or The White Bikes.
