Presenting….The Squirrels Tapes

The Squirrels never quite made it into a proper recording studio. These are DIY endeavors, from a cheap cassette recorder with built-in mic, two-track reel-to-reel, boom box, live mixing board feeds, to the venerable 4-track cassette PortaStudio. They exemplify home-recording in the ’80’s, well before computer technology. These examples are roughly chronological, so one can get a sense of the progressions.
